DJ Woods Productions, in association with Ryerson University and Post DNA Productions, are presenting an opportunity for Professionals in the Film, Television and Advertising industries to expand their knowledge of the concepts and techniques in digital media.

Leading edge media production companies and individuals will showcase the latest developments in 4k cinematic cameras and 4k digital imagery.

On February 8th and 9th, the next level of picture enhancement for film and broadcast acquisition, production and distribution will be demonstrated and discussed. RSVPs and seating requirements should be e-mailed to: future4k@yahoo.com

1. The Red One 4k Camera, with Marc-André Ferguson. Presenting Peter Jackson's Short Film: "Crossing the Line" shot with the Red camera.

2. The Final Cut Pro Users group, with David Battistella presenting the FCP workflow with the R3D files and the wrappers.

3. Assimilate - Scratch, with Lucas Wilson demonstrating the Scratch 4k workflow.

4. Supernal Entertainment - DCI-based 4k Digital Cinema, and Stereoscopic 3D in Digital Cinema and Beyond - Presented by Jay Spencer.

5. Quantel - Genetic Engineering, the 4k workflow and Stereoscopic 3D Post Production - Presented by Mark Northeast.

6. The 4k Dalsa Camera, Lucian Ion presenting clips from LeVar Burton's new Film: "Tempting Hyenas", shot with the Dalsa 4k camera and work flow.

7. DVS (Clipster 4k & Cine 4K), with Tony Fox illustrating their 4k workflow and 4k player.

8. Ken Davis, Producer, presenting samples of a 4k image manipulation and its capabilities for Commercial and Television applications.

9. D. Gregor Hagey, Director of Photography, sharing his experiences shooting with the Red #98.

10. CineGrid, presenting the transmission capabilities of high-quality digital media over high-speed photonic networks. Presented by Paul Hearty, Assoc. Dean and Director Rogers Communication Center, investigator Digital Cinema Research Center, discusses the world wide 4k transfer network.
