SGT highlights its new generation Media Asset Management (MAM) solution at IBC 2010

July 19, 2010

Source: SGT

SGT will be presenting a series of new products and features during this year´s IBC show in Amsterdam from September 10 to 14, 2010 (hall 8, booth C21.a).

The new generation Media Asset Management (MAM) solution will be the highlight of SGT´s presence at the show. SGT will also show its Automation solution, with - among others - the new i-VEDA 3G e-application enabling to remotely and in real time check playlists, playouts or incidents over the i-Phone.

New foundations for SGT´s media asset management solution as integrated part of the VEDA solution offering

Based on a completely overhauled and innovative architecture, the new media asset management solution offers a great reliability and a richness of powerful and highly ergonomic features.

It integrates three layers: Editorial, Technical and Transverse. Just to mention some modules: browsing and cataloguing, quality check, content checking, identification, and marking & validation, as well as transverse ones such as Research, Search & Retrieve or as another example a Speech-to-Text module.

Thanks to its ease-of-use and ergonomics, non-technical users can now rapidly access to the information they need, e.g. through the new browsing or search functions. The ergonomics of SGT´s new media asset management solution follows the same logic as the Automation solution and allows a better exploitability and continuity of operations

With the new, SOA-based i-VEDA 3G application - a new e-application within the Automation solution - managers within broadcast and media companies are now able to remotely access a consultation portal over their i-Phone to follow the programs in real-time: they can visualize all the playlists, playouts, playlist feedbacks or alerts of possible incidents. Mobile users have now complete visibility in real-time.
