Thales Angenieux Participates in Santa Fe 3D Workshop

Inaugural Session Designed to Offer Thorough Review Of Stereographic 3D Techniques, Opportunities & Needs

The Santa Fe International Workshops is this month premiering a new hands-on training series on Stereographic 3D Cinematography. Training features Angenieux’s George Palmer as one of the senior instructors as well as many other expert professionals.

On August 28-30 in Los Angeles, California the program will combine an overview of key 3D technologies with intensive sessions using the latest tools of 3D cinematography. Mr. Palmer’s session will focus on lens technology for 3D applications.

“For both attendees and instructors, it’s an investment in the future of 3D cinematography,” said Mr. Palmer. “We are very pleased to be a part of Santa Fe Workshop’s pioneering activities in advancing the knowledge field of 3D technology.”

The high-end workshop is designed for industry professionals looking to familiarize themselves with the latest technical and creative information on Stereographic 3D Cinematography. Santa Fe International's experienced professionals provide participants a detailed guide to 3D workflow combined with hands-on instruction on the proper assembly, calibration and operation of the latest generation 3D rigs and tools for 3D cinematography.

Follow-up workshops in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia will advance further into the details of Stereographic 3D production through specialty and master classes.

Angenieux is a principal sponsor of the Santa Fe International Workshops and Mr. Palmer, an acknowledged expert on digital acquisition and workflow, is a Senior Instructor with the Workshops in addition to his role at Thales Angenieux as a Key Account Manager. Mr. Palmer will also be available during workshop breaks to assist and advise the participants on these and other topics of interest.
