Apantac announces the launch of the new MAZAMA line of DVI Fiber Optic Extenders

Apantac LLC, a leading designer and developer of high quality, cost effective image and signal processing equipment today announced the launch of the new MAZAMA line of DVI Fiber Optic Extenders.

This new line of video extenders transmits DVI HD video over fiber optic cable(s) up to 330 feet / 100 meters, without any signal loss. They are simple to operate plug-and-play devices that cover a variety of cross-platform applications including digital signage, remote monitoring in broadcast and professional applications as well as corporate, government and the medical industry. You can extend your video from your DVI video source to a display all while keeping your signal integrity.

Apantac’s MAZAMA DVI line includes the following models: DVI-n-FF, DVI-n-LC, DVI-n-SC, and DVI-n-LC-DL.

DVI-n-FF:

Single link DVI-D Extenders with fixed fiber optic cable capable of transmitting DVI HD video up to 330 feet / 100 meters, and support resolutions up to 1920 x 1440. This HDCP compliant extender is available in pre-assembled optical lengths up to 100 meters. The “n” in the model number represents the fiber optic cable lengths – 40, 50, 75, or 100 meters.

DVI-n-LC:

Single Link DVI-D Extenders with four LC multi-mode fiber optic cables capable of transmitting DVI HD video up to 330 feet / 100 meters, and support resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. A key function in this device is its self-detecting EDID function via a DDC connection, which preserves display resolution information from the video source to the display. This extender is available in pre-assembled optical lengths up to 100 meters. The “n” in the model number represents the fiber optic cable lengths – 40, 50, or 100 meters.

DVI-n-SC:

Single Link DVI-D Extenders with single SC multi-mode fiber optic cable capable of transmitting DVI HD video up to 1,650 feet / 500 meters, and support resolutions up to 1920 x 1080. The DVI-n-SC units conform to the DDWG DVI standard and supports video up to 1080p. This extender is available in pre-assembled optical lengths up to 500 meters. The “n” in the model number represents the fiber optic cable lengths – 50,100, 200, 400, or 500 meters.

DVI-n-LC-DL:

Dual and single link Extenders with 7 LC fiber optic cables support dual link DVI up to resolution of 2560 x 1600 and single link DVI up to 1920 x 1200 with a maximum distance of 330 feet / 100 meters. The device is switchable between the single and dual link functions. The unit also provides a DDC connection that supports monitor EDID information using a standard CAT5 cable. This HDCP compliant extender is available in pre-assembled optical lengths up to 100 meters. The “n” in the model number represents the fiber optic cable lengths – 30, 50, 75, or 100 meters.
