Demand for Aspera Technology Increases in Storage Market; Partnership with Industrial Color

October 18, 2007

Source: Aspera

Aspera’s Enterprise Server for clustered storage optimizes fasp 2.0 technology, delivering effective storage and secure, predictable transfers with minimal packet loss.

This week Aspera is at Storage Networking World in Dallas, Texas, demonstrating how the Aspera Enterprise Server addresses these critical challenges while achieving maximum performance between business locations and increasing efficiency 100x or more than standard protocols like FTP.

Though Aspera was not previously slated to be at SNW, after a number of customer requests and encouragement from in industry partner Isilon Systems, space was secured to meet this increasing demand. Attendees have responded enthusiastically to Aspera technology’s unique ability to set file transfer speeds, file priority settings and finish times while still being able to track their progress and optimize available bandwidth.

Aspera also announced its unique collaboration with partner Industrial Color, who will incorporate Aspera technology into their GLOBALedit product. Industrial Color is a leader in the digital photo capture and online workflow arena who’s customers span the globe and produce a vast majority of high end print publications you see on newsstands today. The integration of Aspera high-speed file transfer technology into GLOBALedit is expected to be a dramatic improvement in the area of digital image workflow technology.
