Bluebell introduces BC323 3G-SDI Compact Fibre Links
August 5, 2010
Source: Bluebell
The BC323 provides a
compact and robust link for the conversion of two independent
3G-SDI signals into fibre optical cable.
The BC323s are compact dual channel fibre optic
converters that are suited to provide interference
free transmission and for extending the range of electrical
signals, particularly HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals.

The BC323 can also be used to carry two
independent HD signals on fibre, particularly relevant with
the advent of 3D productions where initial tests have been
successfully completed.
Each incoming signal is auto-sensed, equalised
and reclocked prior to conversion and transmission down a
separate single optical fibre. All electric outputs are also
reclocked to maintain maximum signal integrity.
The compact design allows the unit to be
located close to the action or 3D camera rig. Power from a
variety of external DC sources is taken via a standard 4 pin
XLR. Each BC323 is housed in a compact robust enclosure and
is designed for Outside Broadcast and special events as well
as Studios.
Optionally power is provided via the PS12/XLR
unit.
The PS12/XLR has an IEC mains inlet
allowing easy adoption into standard equipment bays.
