Brick House
Video, manufacturer of compact and cost-effective equipment

versions of the remarkable Syntax up/cross-converter on Stand
11.110C at IBC 2007. Syntax, winner of a TV Technologys
prestigious IBC 2006 STAR award, is based on advanced super-resolution
bandlet technology and incorporates comprehensive audio facilities.
This affordable unit brings the performance advantages of
motion-compensated processing without the currently associated
disadvantages of high cost and occasionally severe artefacts.
Syntax is a 1RU unit offering up-conversion and cross-conversion
with SDI I/O and multi-format inputs.
Callisto Switchers Lastest Enhancements
to be Demonstrated
A long-list of enhancements and upgrades
will accompany Brick House Videos tried and trusted
Callisto range. Callistos compact design, straightforward
controls and multi-format input options make it an ideal choice
for live applications. Its commonly used in SNG trucks
around the world and is ideally suited for high-pressure environments
where quick deployment and ease of use are critical. Callistos
scope of applications is broadening with the incorporation
of Hot-Cut and an optional integrated Chroma Keyer. Hot-Cut
enables the user to switch asynchronous signals directly on
the programme bus with NO freeze frame on the output.
Callisto, available in both rack-mount (2
variants) and portable formats, features dual frame synchronisers
and DSK as standard. Callisto-P is an all-in-one DC-powered
portable unit with six SDI and six Analogue inputs.
Callisto-R (with Callisto-C remote) is an
eight SDI and eight optional analogue input model.
CallistoF is a rack-mount version
of Callisto-R that offers full front-panel control for local
operation. When combined with the M2100 remote control protocol,
Callisto-F serves as a very attractive low-cost master control
unit.
All switchers in the Callisto range are
full broadcast specification with 10-bit precision throughout.
Optional embedded audio switching is also now available on
all Callisto switchers.
Proteus motion adaptve standards converter
The award-winning Proteus motion-adaptive
standards converter will be at the show in both rack-mount
and portable versions. Proteus, recipient of TV Technologys
prestigious IBC 2005 STAR award, is a fully featured broadcast
specification standards converter with 10-bit SDI, analogue
video and audio I/O, an advanced standards conversion algorithm,
comprehensive audio synchronisation facilities and Aspect
Ratio Conversion. Proteus offers full format conversion, frame
synchronising, TBC, video and audio Proc Amps, audio delay
and as well as bi-directional standards (rate) conversion.
Proteus addresses lip-sync errors with an optional audio delay
(adjustable up to 10 seconds) featuring both tracking and
block delay. Proteus is in use with many leading broadcasters
worldwide.
