Chyron Appoints Richard Walshe Director Of Sales, EAME

Industry veteran, Richard Walshe has joined Chyron’s EAME office as Director of Sales. Richard, who reports to VP and General Manager of EAME David Ward, will be based in Reading, UK.

With more than 30 years experience in the broadcast industry, Richard will be responsible for continuing to grow the expansive client base within the region, further highlighting Chyron as the leading graphics provider in EAME. Richard began his career in his native New Zealand where he trained as a broadcast engineer. Following a move to the UK in 1980, he spent 11 years holding a variety of sales roles with Quantel including, International Service Engineer, Sales Engineer in Australia and Sales Manager for Eastern Europe and Russia.

In 1993, Richard moved to Australia to become Sales Manager for Quantum Pacific, a distributor/importer of Production, Post, Broadcasting and Telecommunications equipment. He then became MD for the local subsidiary of Barco, a Belgium Cable and Satellite headend manufacturer. In 2002, he joined Vocality to head the Asia Pacific operation and for the last two years he held the position of Sales Manager at Gencom Technology selling Production, Post, and Broadcasting equipment including HD Presentation systems.
