Compix Appoints Gunter Woodson as Western Regional

Compix, a developer of character generators
(CGs), announces the appointment of Gunter Woodson as Western
regional sales manager, a role in which he will oversee management,
support, and development of Compix accounts as part of the
company's expanding sales efforts in the Western United States
and Canada.

A proven marketing and brand-management professional, Woodson
brings 15 years of experience to his new role at Compix. He
will be responsible for states including Alaska, Arizona,
California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada,
New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota,
Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Within Canada, he will
be responsible for Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and
Saskatchewan.
"Gunter's experience in building and maintaining profitable
account relationships through skilled analysis of client needs
will be central to our continued growth across the West,"
said Lisa Kirtley, director of sales for Compix. "Over
his career to date, Gunter has shown a remarkable ability
to drive sales growth, even in the face of tough economic
times, and we look forward to leveraging his experience and
expertise in increasing Compix brand awareness and product
deployments."
Woodson joins Compix having most recently served as manager
of South Central U.S. sales for Broadcast Pix, where he increased
total sales by 259 percent in a single fiscal year. Earlier,
he was manager of Western territory for Echolab, where in
five months he helped the company to realize a nearly 50 percent
improvement over the previous year's sales.
Woodson's marketing experience also includes independent consulting
for companies in Texas and California, as well as management,
marketplace planning, and brand development roles across a
variety of business models. He earned a master of business
administration from the McCombs School of Business at the
University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor of business administration
in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
