Concurrent (NASDAQ: CCUR), a worldwide leader of on-demand technology that is shaping the future of television, announced today a partnership with Scansatec to market Concurrent’s MediaHawk on-demand platform in the Nordic and Baltic regions.

Scansatec, one of Northern Europe’s leading service providers in the field of broadband and IP technology, has chosen Concurrent’s MediaHawk line of software and integrated solutions as their recommended on-demand platform for cable and broadband systems interested in deploying video-on-demand (VOD) to digital subscribers.

“Scansatec has long been recognized for their excellent technical capabilities and broad product portfolio,” stated Gary Trimm, president and CEO of Concurrent. “Concurrent is pleased to have Scansatec as a partner, and we look forward to working with them to bring enhanced video services to these developing markets.”

“We are proud to add Concurrent’s products and services to our product portfolio,” said Tero Jousi, owner and general manager, Scansatec. “The MediaHawk on-demand platform is reliable and widely deployed, and can easily integrate with both Nordija middleware and Widevine CAS (Conditional Access System). We look forward to working with Concurrent to make our partnership a success.”

Based in Finland but serving all of the Baltic Sea states, Scansatec has established a network of key contacts in these developing digital television markets. Scansatec’s customer range includes cable TV and telco operators. Key characteristics of their company include quality, expertise, precise delivery and good personal services.

Concurrent’s MediaHawk 4000 series VOD platform provides unequalled system stability and uptime. The first and most widely deployed VOD solution to utilize commercial off-the-shelf hardware, the MediaHawk delivers independent scalability of content ingest, storage and streaming across both HFC and IP networks worldwide. The MediaHawk 4500 video servers provide enhanced streaming capabilities and industry-first resilient streaming technology. To date, Concurrent has deployed over 1.1 million video streams in 26 countries.
