new technology offerings at the IBC 2008 Exhibition (stand 9.D28) held
in Amsterdam from September 12 through 16.
Dalet News Suite is a robust SD-HD production and playout solution
with integrated media asset management. Designed for news and sports,
the entire production workflow is integrated. Distributed,
multi-channel feed ingest features advanced scheduling, loop record,
router control and edit-while-record capabilities. Desktop FireWire
transfers of Panasonic P2 and Sony XDCAM material expedite transfer
from the field. Broadcasters like ORT in Russia, BBC World Service,
and tvOne in Indonesia rely on the Dalet News Suite integrated
approach for managing production and playout in the fast-paced news,
sports, and magazine program formats.
Dalet Media Library combines state-of-the-art video server management
with exceptional file migration technology, leveraging the power and
cost effectiveness of standard IT platforms. Dalet Media Library
facilitates access rights, modifications and distribution of content
across the production chain. Flexible metadata forms allow users to
customize information with maximum details. Dalet Media Library is
further complemented with user-friendly storyboarding tools so simple
that people with minimal editing skills can easily make cuts, assemble
media, record comments and package content.
Dalet Radio Suite combines a comprehensive newsroom computer system
with all the professional audio recording and production tools needed
to facilitate the coverage of breaking events. The Dalet OnAir
component can be configured to the needs of an individual broadcast
studio or studio operator. News reading is facilitated by an
integrated news prompter. Program associated data (PAD) for DAB, DRM
or HD Radio digital radio platforms is generated on the fly.
Designed to support enterprise production workflows, influential radio
news broadcasters like Radio France International (RFI) employ Dalet
Radio Suite to produce 200 plus programs across 600 workstations.
