DEV Systemtechnik introduces signal transmission devices for high frequency ranges

February 28, 2008

Source: DEV Systemtechnik

DEV's latest distribution amplifiers, DEV 281x and DEV 285x, support the high performance requirements of frequency ranges which are, for instance, used in military applications. The devices are optionally available with a different operating voltage (-36 to -60V DC instead of AC).

With its innovative products that consistently meet the highest quality standards, DEV Systemtechnik opens up new markets in the area of C- and KU-band signal processing. Common areas of application for the innovative solutions are, for instance, military signal processing systems. The C- and Ku-Band signal distribution products from the specialist for RF signal routing provide a genuine alternative to the previously used RF signal routers. The C-Band splitters DEV 2811 (1:8), DEV 2812 (2x1:8) and DEV 2813 (1:16) are designed for the reliable and convenient amplification and monitoring of C-Band signals in the range between 3.2 GHz and 4.2 GHz and provide front test ports. The devices DEV 2851 (1:8), DEV 2852 (2x1:8) and DEV 2853 (1:16) operate in a Ku-Band range from 10.95 GHz to 12.75 GHz.

Both product series allow the processing of up to two input signals in one device. The incoming signals are split into eight or 16 signals without loss. The signal inputs and outputs are located on the rear of the device and are constructed as SMA connectors. The system components are housed in one rack unit (1 RU), which fits into a standard rack.

"The technology of our DEV 281x and DEV 285x series is comparable to an off-road vehicle with all the comfort of a Mercedes. We offer multi-use devices which, despite their many fields of application, do not compromise on comfort", explains the General Manager of DEV Jörg Schmidt.
