The Automated System Handles Multiple Formats From Ingest Through Playout

Digital Broadcast, a producer of master control and newsroom automation products, has introduced its new MediaFire Pro product for automated processing of multiple formats.

MediaFire Pro offers full power, multi-format ingest, storage and playout. Handling formats including DVC Pro, XDCam, MXV, .MPG, .AVI, HDSDI, QuickTime, MPEG2, MPEG4 and .MOV, the MediaFire Pro stores native formats with no format conversion required. It can then play the material out automatically with MediaFire Pro’s integral MediaFire Automation Software. The different formats play seamlessly back to back.

A single MediaFire Pro can play two program streams simultaneously. Using the integrated play-out automation, MediaFire Pro can transfer programs while concurrently playing to air.

MediaFire Pro redundancies can include RAID storage, redundant power supplies and redundant outputs.
