
Focus Enhancements Announces HD File Converter Pro for P2

Inc. a worldwide leader in media management and Ultra Wideband
(UWB) wireless technology, today announced HD File Converter
Pro, a Windows-based application for conversion between DVCPRO
HD, DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO/DV P2 file types and various non-linear
editing (NLE) file formats such as QuickTime, AVI Type 2 and
MXF.
"Panasonic's P2 solutions are being widely used in numerous

have been asking for a simple utility that allows for quick
conversion between different DVCPRO HD/50/DV file types and
NLE formats such as QuickTime. We created HD File Converter
Pro to fulfill these customers' needs."

exchange files between various versions of editing systems
or existing content without loss of video quality."
When working with DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50
content, HD File Converter Pro makes it possible to convert
between P2 and QuickTime, QuickTime Reference, AVI Type 2,
Avid MXF and RawDV. When working with DVCPRO/DV content, HD
File Converter Pro makes it possible to convert between P2
and QuickTime, QuickTime Reference, AVI Type 1, AVI Type 2,
Canopus AVI, Matrox AVI, Avid OMF, Avid MXF, MXF OP1a and
RawDV.
The application also supports write back to P2 cards, auto
conversion mode, file joining (for spanned files), audio extraction
and insertion (DVCPRO/DV only), and FTP transfer direct from
the application. Additionally, HD File Converter Pro supports
DVCPRO HD PN modes for conversion, as well as the complete
P2 directory structure including thumbnails and XML metadata
files.
