Visit Gefen at IBC Stand 7.B31

August 4, 2008

Source: Gefen

Gefen is preparing for IBC and wants to invite you to visit the Gefen stand (7.B31) for the newest innovations that solve common and not-so-common system integration, extension, conversion and distribution problems.

Gefen’s solutions work diligently behind the scenes to ensure hi-def audio/video systems perform at their highest capacity:

HDMI v1.3 CAT-6 Extender
A sender/receiver system that uses industry-standard category-6 cabling to extend the full spectrum of HDMI v1.3 audio and video up to 20 meters. At this distance, 1080p full HD is delivered with zero signal loss; resolutions up to 1080i can be extended further distances.

Wireless for HDMI Extender
This high performance extension system enables high definition audio and video in the HDMI format to be delivered up to 30 feet line of sight using wireless radio-based technology from Tzero technologies.

8x4 HDMI Matrix
Allows up to eight high definition video sources to be accessed at any time from any one of four HDMI displays. An IR remote controls matrix switching and 1080p full HD visuals are delivered instantly to their assigned display with multi-channel audio.

HDMI over RGB Extender
Enables legacy video systems using 5BNC cabling to upgrade both the A/V source and display or projector to the expanded HDMI v1.3 format, leaving in conduit cables intact. Hi-def video in resolutions to 1080p with multi-channel audio is transmitted up to 100 meters in distance with zero signal delays or dropouts.

HDMI over Fiber Extender
Uses just one fiber optic cable to transmit HDMI v1.3 video up to 500 meters in distance with support for deep colors and the entire scope of the expanded HDMI format. Users can opt to use external enclosures or attractive wall plates at local and remote locations.

8x8 DVI Matrix
Enables a direct connection among eight DVI computers and eight DVI displays. Access is controlled through the Gefen IR remote control or by RS-232 connection. An optional 8x8 Matrix RMT remote control enables the entire integrated system, including all eight computers and displays, to be accessed and controlled remotely from up to 300 meters in distance.

4x4 Component Audio over CAT5 Matrix
Enables direct connections among any four component video sources and four displays with audio in digital and analog stereo audio formats. Users can opt for small individual receivers at each display to extend video and audio signals over just one CAT-5 cable up to 300 meters with a perfect replication of audio and video resolutions to 1080p.

Simple TV Scaler
Four audio/video inputs support one composite/s-video source with analog audio, two HDMI sources with digital audio and one component video source with analog audio. The selected source is simultaneously delivered in both HDMI v1.3 and component video formats with supplemental audio. Automatic resolutions detection and HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) scaling ensures video may be refined to the highest standards available today.

Audio/Video Scaler Pro
Supports one DVI input with analog audio, two HDMI with digital audio, one composite video with analog audio, one component video with analog audio and one s-video with analog audio. It converts all non-compatible video formats to the HDMI format, with audio delivered alongside in both S/PDIF and TOSlink formats. It also offers optional 30 watts per channel audio amplification with volume control for anyone wanting to integrate high end audio systems with new HDMI displays and projectors.

Digital Audio Decoder
Accepts one HDMI source and splits the signal, delivering one to the display and one with digital audio output as either digital or analog audio, with the Decoder capable of up sampling, down sampling, decoding Dolby, and passing through high bit-rate formats. It is designed for those who want to incorporate existing, hi-end fidelity systems using HDMI audio sources.

GefenTV Ethernet over Powerline
Delivers one of the easiest methods of Ethernet distribution available today: it taps into any wall jack using powerline cable. Users simply plug the sender unit (with a live Ethernet connection) into any jack in the home, then plug the receiver into another wall jack in the same home or office building. The receivers’ four-port hub delivers up to four active Internet connections with speeds up to 200 Mbps.

GefenTV Ethernet over Coax
Uses the same methodology as the powerline version, however its sender and receiver are connected to coax cable. The sender links the live Ethernet signal to the cabling infrastructure using the coaxial port while the receiver delivers computers in the home.

GefenTV HDMI v1.3 Repeater
This tiny device sits between two HDMI cables allowing the signal to be transferred beyond its 3 meter specified limit. High quality visuals and the entire expanded HDMI v1.3 features including deep color with DTS Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD audio formats are delivered instantly with no delays. This extender is recommended for shorter length installations.

GefenTV Home Theater Scaler Pro
This high-end scaler boasts an HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) chipset to achieve the most vivid imagery on any entertainment system using HDMI v1.3. In addition to deep color support for next generation entertainment systems, it delivers deinterlacing, eWARP2 geometry processing for projectors and the entire scope of HQV features for the most professional, highly refined imagery possible.

GefenTV Wireless for HDMI Extender
Operates with small sender and receiver units equipped with antennas using 802.11 standards that require no cables to connect the HDMI source to its display or projector. Resolutions to 1080i are capable of being extended with no line of sight required, making this solution desirable in hard to reach locations or those where equipment is located in out-of-sight racks.

GefenTV Audio Processor
Accepts one HDMI source and splits the signal, delivering two identical HDMI audio/video signals. One is passed-through to an HDMI display or projector, supporting 1080p full HD resolutions. The other delivers the audio to an external receiver in the analog stereo format. It provides eight discrete RCA audio connectors, each with 50 watts per channel amplification that supports Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic II, AC3, DTS Express, DTS ES and DTS 96/24. Users also have the option of using the digital S/PDIF audio input and the digital TOSlink output for digital audio connections aside from the 8-channel audio outputs.
