HaiVision Systems
Inc., the world's leading vendor of high-performance H.264
HD and SD video codecs, today announced a new partnership
with DVC Digitalvideo Computing through which DVC will represent
the full line of HaiVision solutions, providing sales, support,
and design and integration services for customers requiring
the lowest-latency HD and SD video transmission.
HaiVision's MAKO-HD codec for the hai1000
platform is the world's premier HD H.264 technology delivering
end to end video transmission with a remarkable 70 milliseconds
of end to end latency. Supporting up to 5 MAKO-HD codec "blades",
the hai1000 multi-stream system is ideal for advanced communications
environments (such as telepresence) and for mission critical
HD video delivery over IP (such as within the medical and
defense markets).
The MAKO-HD supports HD video up to 1080p, SD video, and computer
resolutions up to 1280x768 (WXGA). Based on industry standard
H.264 video compression, the MAKO-HD is fully compatible with
set top boxes, IPTV distribution systems, video conferencing,
and HD video recording systems (including HaiVision's SHARE-HD
multi-stream network video recorder).
"HaiVision's products support
the highest performance encoding available and at the same
time are very reliable," said Harald Näther, General
Manager of DVC. "Based on industry standards, they as
well fit very well with other technology that we have developed
and products that we represent allowing us to deliver comprehensive,
performance, end to end solutions."
