available from IDX

in innovative packages.
IDX System Technology Inc. announced the availability of REDEFINED:
the IDX ELITE battery system solution now protocol-compatible
for powering the innovative RED ONE camera.
In addition to its award-winning architecture and the proven
advantages of Lithium Ion technology, the IDX REDEFINED solution
offers the following features:
The exclusive ELITE Smart Battery (SB) mode, which quickly
and easily activates the protocol data. ELITE offers users
a choice between using the battery in a standard configuration,
or the SB mode for tighter integration with the RED ONE system.
Existing as well as new ELITE batteries are now usable with
RED ONE.
A new battery V-Mount plate designed specifically for the
RED ONE camera, Model EL-BAPIDXA, which enables operators
to view ‘live’ battery life data by percentage in
the RED ONE viewfinder. This custom plate was crafted by noted
manufacturer Element Technica in partnership with IDX.
A 136Wh high-capacity V-Mount battery system with the unique
IDX twin power cartridge construction with multiple safety
and protection features. When the batteries reach the end
of life, new power cartridge pairs can be inserted into the
original housing in less than 30 seconds for a true return
on investment.
The ability to carry ELITE Lithium Ion batteries on board
all national and international air flights, including unlimited
ELITE cartridges (with minimal pre-flight preparation).
IDX ELITE batteries are in full compliance with the 2009 DOT
and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, which regulate the air
shipment of Lithium Ion batteries. The need to ship your batteries
in the baggage compartment is eliminated, as is the necessity
to wait in long lines at a baggage carousel to retrieve your
equipment.

link our IDX batteries with their cameras in a way that would
provide them with the reliability of our Lithium Ion batteries
and the tightest integration possible,” said Tony Iwamoto,

considerable research at IDX, and the assistance of our colleagues
at Element Technica, we believe we have come up with an innovative
solution that binds the camera and our battery together with
‘original equipment’-like functionality.”
The IDX REDEFINED solution consists of two power packages
centered on ELITE batteries along with the sleek EL-BAPIDXA
mounting plate customized with V-Mount and Lemo technology.
Professionals have the option of either the high-performance
quad charger VL-4S or dual charger/AC adaptor VL-2SPLUS. Additional
variations of the mounting plate are available and can be
purchased separately from Element Technica, LLC (www.elementtechnica.com).
