quality solution at an affordable price-point
LYNX Technik AG, provider of intelligent interface products
for the broadcast and professional audio & video industry,
is using IBC 2008 as a launch pad for a significant new "attractively
priced" product range to complement their existing line
of broadcast modular products.

LYNX will debut their new Series 1000 MiniModules, a compact
"brick" style line of utility interface products
that are offered at an extremely low price point, while still
offering broadcast-quality functionality. The Series 1000
complements LYNX's existing Series 3000 MiniModules and 5000
CardModules, offering customers a vast range of functionality
and price points.
The first in the Series 1000 to be introduced is the D VD
1606 module, a 3 GHz re-clocking digital video distribution
amplifier. Offering a combination of flexibility and performance,
the D VD 1606 supports one SDI video input and six outputs
and handles data rates from 270 Mb/s to 3 GHz.
The D VD 1606 also features input signal presence detection.
Plus, the whole Series 1000 modules are completely compatible
with existing Series 3000 modules, including mounting hardware
and power supplies.
"We are responding to market needs and requests for a
very basic and more affordable modular processing solution,"
comments Winfried Deckelmann, CEO of LYNX Technik AG. "Our
new Series 1000 range is ideal for space-constrained applications
that demand broadcast quality, yet only require a very basic
level of functionality."
With this new series of modular products, LYNX is continuing
to grow their portfolio to clearly become one of the leading
providers of HD processing products in the industry. This
new introduction not only extends their offering, but offers
broadcasters a choice when considering how to ease their transition
to HDTV. This also presents great value to existing clients
who are using standard definition and wish to upgrade existing
systems to high definition.
Throughout 2008 and 2009, LYNX Technik will bring to market
additional Series 1000 modules that are being designed to
satisfy all of today's most demanding digital Broadcast requirements
and are being configured to meet the needs of a variety of
levels of technical sophistication.
The LYNX range of signal processing equipment is versatile
and reliable, has been rigorously tested, and has been proven
to work in the most demanding of multi-format environments.
Applications include; mobile vans (OB trucks), broadcast master
control rooms, production studios, network operating centers,
post production, video duplication facilities, and more.
The new LYNX module D VD 1606 3GHz re-clocking digital video
distribution amplifier is priced very attractively and will
be available in September, 2008.
