LYNX Technik has
released a firmware revision which brings a host of new features
and capability to the popular Testor SD/HD Vide and AES Test
Generator.
• Added support for 24P / 23.98P / 25P / 30P / 29.97P
and 24/25/23.98 PSF formats.
• Added four new test patterns to the basic library,
Pluge, LCD persistence Test, and color temp calibration and
field test.
• Added a second embedder so all 16 audio channels can
be embedded (audio groups selectable)
• Improved the character generator to provide 22 characters
across multiple lines.
• Improved menu structure and more responsive control
• Added the required support for the PTG FLASH option.
This option can now be used with this release of firmware.

The upgrade is FREE to all existing Testor customers. Users
are asked to contact their local sales rep or LYNX directly
to arrange for the return and upgrade.
LYNX has also released the PTG FLASH option, which allows
the user to load DPX files from compact flash into Testor;
these can be new test patterns or any image file. We have
launched a test pattern download area where we provide over
60 additional patterns for use with the PTG FLASH option,
users can also upload their own designs.
Coming Soon......... Other news for Testor Owners is we will
soon have two new hard case options for the testor, Ideal
for mobile use provides water resistant, crush resistant and
dust resistant protection for Testor. One hard case is even
self powered with a integrated battery and charger providing
6 hours of continuous use.
