Maximum Throughput Inc. (http://www.max-t.com), developers of ultra high performance software-based solutions for networked storage infrastructure and media management, announced today the immediate availability of the Sledgehammer v3.5 software release.

In addition to core optimizations and support for a 10Gigabit Ethernet interface, the software updates to MAXmedia, the graphical interface for Sledgehammer, include new real-time support for MXF formatted and MPEG1/MPEG2 compressed material, drag and drop capabilities for assembling and managing media, broad improvements to the interface timeline to smooth the process of using Sledgehammer as a dual stream capable digital disk recorder (DDR) in telecine, and audio support for offline playback.

"The entire Sledgehammer product line will benefit from this new release," commented John Miller, V.P. of Worldwide Sales at Max-T. "We've addressed a huge number of customer requests to streamline the use of Sledgehammer in its many different capacities as both a file server and DDR."
