Media Excel to unveil video transcoder at IBC 2008 at Stand #2.C24

Media Excel will introduce the industry's fastest video transcoder, the HERA 4000, at IBC 2008. Media Excel will demonstrate the HERA 4000 at its stand #2.C24 in Hall 2 of the RAI Convention Center.

The HERA 4000 is the first transcoding product to use the Texas Instruments DaVinci™ digital media processor, which will enable customers to deliver higher-quality video at much higher speeds and much lower costs than previous solutions.

The single-rack HERA 4000 is ideal for broadcasters and cable operators, as well as mobile operators, telcos, web video aggregators, content delivery networks and media content production firms.

Media Excel's customers include MTV Networks and MobiTV, for which its HERA products handle all global encoding and transcoding requirements.
