MIRANDA AND NVISION COLLABORATE TO OFFER THE LARGEST-EVER
MULTI-IMAGE/ROUTING SYSTEM

April 7, 2008

Source: Miranda

Miranda Technologies and NVISION today announced the launch of the largest ever, high-quality multi-image/routing system, which results from a tight integration between Miranda's Kaleido-X multi-viewer and NVISION's new NV8576 Large-Matrix Digital Multi-Format Router and router product line with native 3Gig capability. The system can be expanded to provide up to 1152 HD/SD video inputs and 128 multi-image display outputs.

"This combined system enables the very largest broadcasting facilities to benefit from Kaleido-X's unmatched image quality and extreme layout flexibility', says Marco Lopez, Senior Vice-President, Monitoring and
Control at Miranda.

The rich multi-viewer/router user interface integrates joint functionality such as source text tracking and on-screen mouse router control. Along with simpler and tighter integration and reduced cabling costs, the combined Miranda/NVISION system offers the ultimate level of resiliency, with no single point of failure and true cross-point redundancy.

"A key strength of this cost-effective system is the flexibility to choose between router outputs and multi-image outputs, which is easily done by adjusting the quantity of router output modules and multi-viewer
interconnect modules fitted to the router', said Chuck Meyer, President and CEO of NVISION. 'This offers the ability to scale the system to suit individual users, while also providing an easy growth path for the future.'
In the largest configuration, two NV8576-Plus router frames are fed by 1152 HD/SD video inputs, connected to 16 Kaleido-X multi-viewer frames, to provide 128 multi-image display outputs.

The system offers tight integration between the devices, with control over IP. An operator can dynamically assign sources that are connected to the router, and source assignments can be saved on the layout presets. By
recalling a layout, the router is instantly reconfigured.

Source names are dynamically updated in the UMDs by extracting source data from the NVISION source database. This interface is available with any NVISION router through NVISION's NV9000 Router Control System.
