Miranda Technologies
today announced that Télé-Québec, operated
by the provincial government of Quebec, Canada, has installed
a Kaleido-X expandable, multi-image display system in one
of its production control rooms as part of a significant upgrade
to its Montreal facilities.
The Kaleido-X replaces Télé-Québec's
previous monitor wall, which comprised 30 separate CRT screens.
The new multi-image display system allows any of the room's
signals to be displayed across four LCD screens.
'With the Kaledio-X, no matter how large
or small each source window is, or how many times it's repeated,
the image quality is always brilliant', explains Michel Séguin,
Technical Director at Télé-Québec.
'It's been a pleasure working with Miranda
the company's reliable reputation and vast experience
in the industry was evident immediately with any issues being
resolved in a logical, quick and effective manner. We're looking
forward to working with them on the next phase of the project.'
Télé-Québec is upgrading
its entire facility in stages to achieve Digital, HD and 5.1
audio capabilities. Miranda has already delivered signal conversion
products from its Densité and Imaging ranges in preparation
for the station's master control room refurbishment, along
with another Kaleido-X system. This next stage of upgrading
is due for completion in December 2007, ready for launch of
Télé-Québec's programming in HD. A third
KX has also been received for a further production studio.
The Kaleido-X is a highly expandable, multi-image
display system designed for large scale, multi-room environments.
Each Kaleido-X processor frame features up to 96 auto-sensing
HD/SD/Analog inputs, and up to eight multi-image outputs.
Multiple Kaleido-X processors can be linked together to create
systems which fully address the very largest monitoring requirements.
Kaleido-X multi-image outputs can be grouped
to create large, highly integrated monitoring systems. Alternatively,
each output can be controlled completely independently for
multi-room environments, using one or more remote control
panels.
The system offers unmatched multi-image
display quality for the most critical applications, using
patent pending scaling technology which allows the image quality
to be maintained over the full range of image sizes.
