Nautel today announced that the company has been awarded the contract for deployment of three NX300 high power MW transmitters for the Turkish Radio - Television Corporation (TRT).

In addition to supplying transmitters, Nautel will provide comprehensive end to end services including site survey, installation, ventilation, transmission line, commissioning and site testing.

"We wanted to make Turkey\'s radio infrastructure one of the best in the world," said Mete Coskun, Technical Director for TRT. "Nautel's new NX Series transmitters are advanced medium wave transmitters and will help TRT achieve advanced transmission and control capabilities while lowering our operating costs."

The NX Series was first introduced at the fall IBC show in Amsterdam and boasts medium wave industry firsts such as adaptive precorrection, 90% efficiency and integral DRM or HD Radio transmission in a cabinet that is 1/2 to 1/3 more compact than any other transmitter in its class. The NX Series also includes an advanced user interface that is accessed using a 17" touch screen or via a web browser. This advanced control capability includes spectrum and network analyzer functions and will allow TRT to manage all remote systems from their central operations center in Ankara.

"The international acceptance of the NX Series of high power medium wave transmitters has been outstanding," said Peter Conlon, Nautel President and CEO. \"The rapid adoption of this technology in the worldwide market confirms our success in designing a robust solution that moves far beyond the traditional offerings for medium wave transmission. Nautel engineers have truly set a new standard for the industry." Conlon noted that Nautel's success in Turkey follows similar strategic international deployments in the UK, Mexico and the Philippines. "This further solidifies the company's position as a leading worldwide supplier of digital and analog transmission solutions," he said.
