Belden has acquired Telecast Fiber Systems, a fiber optic video technologies serving professional broadcast industries.

Telecast's technologies include audio multiplexers, portable HD and SD broadcast systems, camera adapters, transceivers and more.

Systems Contractor news has published their annual Top 50 Systems Integrator list.
 
The Top 50 systems integrators in North America are rated by projected systems integration revenue for 2009.
JVC Introduces IF-2D3D1 Stereoscopic Image Processor to Help 3D Content Creators Improve Workflow

The unit Offers real-time 2D-to-3D Conversion to repurpose archived content.

It allso serves as 3D L/R Mixer for monitoring 3D footage on location.
 
The IF-2D3D1 will be available March 2009.
KTWU Installs Riedel Intercoms
KTWU-DT, a PBS affiliate station that is owned and operated by Washburn University of Topeka, has installed a new intercom solution from Riedel Communications.
 
To provide a communications infrastructure and to integrate the control room and various studios, KTWU uses a Performer 32+16 intercom matrix system.
 
Harris Increases NEXIO SAN Storage Space, Lowers Costs for Broadcasters
Harris has introduced a 33 % increase in storage capacity to its range of NEXIO SAN (storage area network) storage arrays at the same price of its previously highest-capacity storage solution.
 
This increase raises the total usable storage capacity to 96 TB.
Rutgers University Stadium Installs Five Hitachi SK-HD1000 HD Cameras For Big Screen HD Video Display
Hitachi announced that five new Hitachi SK-HD1000 studio/field cameras have been installed at Rutgers University Stadium to produce game-day entertainment, including live HD video of game action and spectators for big screen HD display.
 
The HD video infrastructure upgrade is part of a $102 million capital investment made during 2008 and 2009 by Rutgers University to expand the stadium in support of its Scarlet Knights football program.
Bitcentral Revitalizes Newsroom Workflow for Alhurra Television with Oasis and Precis Systems
Bitcentral announced the installation of their Oasis and Precis systems at Alhurra, an Arabic-language satellite TV network based in Springfield, VA.  
 
With the installation of Oasis in Springfield, VA for use by their news bureau in Dubai, UAE, Alhurra now has a wide area media asset management system that allows its users to manage large volumes of media such as video, graphics, audio and text from one source.
Ross Video Appoints Brian Murray Regional Sales Manager - Middle East and Africa
Mr. Murray will report to Sharon Quigley, Manager, International Sales for EAIME.
 
He will be responsible for managing Ross Video sales in throughout the Middle East, GCC, Africa, India, and Pakistan.
