Middle Tennessee State University Upgrades Mobile Truck with Apantac HD Multiviewers
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has installed Apantac's Tahoma-LE Series of High Definition Multiviewers in their newly refurbished HD mobile television production truck.
The 40-foot mobile production truck is a state-of-the-art Mobile Production Lab used to produce live sports events that are telecast to high-profile outlets such as ESPN.
At events, the student crew handle all production aspects of the event coverage. The new Apantac HD Multiviewers provide students with the multi-image display processing tools they need to visually monitor all feeds from cameras out in the field and content being fed from tape decks and digital disk recorders.
Volker Bahnemann to Step Down as President and CEO of ARRI Inc. and CSC
Volker Bahnemann, President and CEO of ARRI Inc. and Camera Service Center (CSC) has announced he will step down from his roles at the company this coming spring. Bahnemann leaves with a legacy of 48 years with ARRI, 32 of which he served as CEO of ARRI Inc.
Taking Bahnemann's place is Glenn Kennel, who joined ARRI in 2009 with the new position of Chief Technology Officer.
Polecam now available from The Studio - B&H in NYC
The Studio and B&H has added the full line of Polecam portable video production systems.
The Studio at B&H is equipped to show examples of commercials, feature films, documentaries, reality-shows and sports coverage, including some extremely lifelike 3D material, all shot using the Polecam system. Visitors can operate a fully built Polecam system in the showroom and get a feel for it.

VRT expands HD broadcasting with Miranda's NVISION routing
VRT, the national broadcaster in Belgium for the Flemish speaking community, is upgrading its broadcast facility to HD with Miranda's NVISION 8280 Enterprise Class router.
VRT originally launched a temporary HD channel, called Eén HD, in July 2008 to offer live HD coverage of the Tour de France and the Summer Olympics. In early 2009, VRT expanded its broadcasting capabilities, offering two main channels (Eén and Canvas) in HD. Read on...
