Vizrt Decides for Complete Takeover of Adactus
Vizrt Ltd announced that its Board of Directors has approved in principle the purchase of the remaining 71.01% of the issued share capital of privately held Adactus A.S.
 
The deal values Adactus at NOK 30 million (approx. USD 5.1 M). Vizrt currently holds 28.99% of the issued share capital of Adactus, with the first investment made in September 2005 as a commitment for joint development projects.

Marvin, On-set Data Management Tool Launches

Marvin is a PC-based data management solution for digital cinema from set to post.
 
Currently for r3d files, with P2 support being added in the next couple of weeks. 
 
Marvin comes equipped with
6TB of Raid 5 storage (Optional - 12TB) and has two LTO3 tape drives (optional - LTO4). Current options include
adding a RedRocket card for faster conversion of the proxies.
4HM Launches, and Debuts First Product
The new company launched (at BVE 2010) its new SAM64 SDI audio interface.

Occupying only 1U of rack space, SAM64 provides the interface between SDI bitstreams up to 3G (2.9Gbps - 1080p60) and AES3 plus MADI digital audio.

Omneon Enables Multichannel, Multilocation Master Control for Cowles Media 

Omneon announced that Cowles California Media Company is using Omneon Spectrum media server systems in conjunction with Omneon ProCast CDN at its California broadcast stations KION-TV/KCBA-TV and KCOY-TV/KKFX-TV in an implementation supporting multichannel, multilocation master control. 
The systems enable the Cowles stations to move high volumes of data from one station to another using a limited amount of bandwidth and drive master control for multiple stations from a single point.
Orad's 3DPlay Enhances Turner Sports' NBA All-Star Week Programming
Orad Hi-Tec Systems announced that Turner Sports deployed its real-time, 3D graphics solutions to place virtual graphics - both informational and promotional - throughout the Dallas skyline during the cable network's four day NBA All-Star Game coverage earlier this month.
 
Orad's on-air graphics platform also provided traditional HD graphics as needed throughout the NBA All-Star Week programming.
 
Leveraging Orad's 3DPlay, the network's production team placed virtual graphics promoting advertisers, sponsors, and network programming onto objects around Cowboys Stadium.
