Advanced Broadcast Solutions announces Strategic Alliance with Advanced Systems Group
Systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS) and Advanced Systems Group (ASG), an integrator based in Emeryville, Calif., announced a strategic alliance between the two companies.
 
ABS and ASG are now working together as a single resource to provide file-based solutions for broadcast, post production, high-end corporate video, and house of worship clients.

Calrec Omega Console Chosen by BYU Broadcasting
Calrec Audio announced that BYU Broadcasting, the production and broadcast arm of Brigham Young University, has selected a 48-fader Omega with Bluefin HDSP console for deployment in a new mobile production truck that will cover entertainment, sports, devotional, and information shows starting this month.
 
The new truck, 51-feet long with a 48-foot expansion, is HD-equipped and replaces a 48-foot straight, analog production vehicle built in 1987.
The new facility is slated to be completed this year, and the truck, parked in its bay, will be able to function as an adjunct control room for both taped and live broadcast.
Pacific Television Center Launches HD Circuits to Toronto
Pacific Television Center (PacTV), a Los Angeles-based independent global transmission and production company, announces the launch of HD/SD-capable circuits to Toronto, Canada. Now, PacTV can provide clients with direct, instant access to content between Los Angeles and Toronto.

Clients in Los Angeles and Toronto interested in booking feeds can instantly do so with a phone call to PacTV.

Koerner Camera Purchases Fujinon PL SERIES Zoom Lenses
Koerner Camera Systems, a film and digital rental house in the Pacific Northwest, USA, recently purchased the Fujinon PL Series 18-85mm/T2.0 zoom lens.

Koerner offers Fujinon lenses exclusively for 2/3 inch HD.
 
The purchase of the PL Series 18-85mm/T2.0 signifies an investment in the next generation of digital lenses that will work with new digital cameras as well as film cameras.
Marquis Broadcast Announces Jason Danielson as Vice President for the Americas

Before joining Marquis, Danielson held senior director positions with Omneon based in Silicon Valley, California, where his responsibilities included the development of technology partnerships and the company's shared storage strategy for news and programme production.
 
Prior to this, he held several roles of increasing responsibility at Silicon Graphics including Director of Media and Entertainment Industry Marketing, and was a founder of Digital F/X where he and his product team won an EMMY for technical achievement.
