PESA Expands VidBlox Media Extender Line with New Version of Coax/Fiber 3G-SDI to DVI-I Converters
PESA announces the VidBlox 3G-NE-F which receives coax or fiber optic 3G-SDI serial digital video signals over a single fiber or coax cable and converts the SMPTE 424M compliant signal into a DVI or component analog video output.

Optional rack mount kits support two VidBlox modules in 1RU or four modules in 2RU.

Petrol Bags Intros Cambio Camera Carrier/Support System
A carry-on sized smooth-rolling camera carrier that transforms into a lightweight support system for small video camcorders.
 
Within the Cambio is an expandable (up to 56"/142cm) rigid, nickel-plated center steel column. The column can accommodate cameras weighing up to 9.9 lbs. (4.5kg)
ESE Introduces 1 x 12 and 1 x 4 SDI Distribution Amplifiers
The DV-212 is a 1 x 12 3G/HD/SD SDI distribution amplifier with a loop through input. The unit provides cable equalization, reclocking and distribution.
The DV-207 is a 1 x 4 3G/HD/SD SDI distribution amplifier that provides cable equalization, reclocking and distribution.
Detroit Public TV's New HD Truck with Utah Scientific Routers
Utah Scientific announced that Detroit Public Television (DPTV) now carries a 48x64 UTAH-400 digital router as well as a 32x32 UTAH-200 stereo analog audio routerin the station's first HD production truck. 
 
The truck is producing arts, entertainment, and sporting event programming for DPTV and is also available for commercial hire.
VDS Launches Injector - Provides web enabled scheduling interface for Harris ADC
VDS announced the launch of Injector, a module for its Cortex platform which provides tools for the interactive scheduling of program content.

Injector works with the VDS Sentinel automation module to provide a web enabled scheduling interface for the Harris ADC automation system.
 
The system combines event data from the live automation schedule, offline future traffic files, and events scheduled via the Injector user interface in a grid format with configurable time-slot granularity. Built-in intelligence determines the available scheduling times, based on duration of the selected clip, to prevent overlapping events.

Avid Announces First Quarter 2010 Results
Avid reported revenues of $156.0 million for the three-month period ended March 31, 2010, compared to $151.6 million for the same period in 2009.
 
The GAAP net loss for the quarter was $13.5 million, or $0.36 per share, compared to a GAAP net loss of $17.3 million, or $0.47 per share, in the first quarter of 2009.

ABS to Expand Pebble Beach Systems' Presence in U.S.
Systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS) announced it has entered a relationship with Pebble Beach Systems, a U.K.-based developer and supplier of automation and media management solutions.
 
ABS is collaborating with the company on the West Coast to expand Pebble Beach Systems' presence in the United States.

Createasphere's Digital Asset Management Conference will make its New York debut on September 23rd & 24th, 2010, following a successful launch in Los Angeles earlier this year.
