Sachtler introduces Versatile Cine 7+7 HD Fluid Head System
This 100mm system offers a host of cine-style features including a front pan bar. With a generous payload range of 4.4 to 48.5 pounds (2-22kg) the new head aptly supports a variety of packages from HDV camcorders to full-sized cameras loaded with accessories.

Digital Broadcast, a producer of master control and newsroom automation products, is now offering a full ASI version of its well-established MediaFire Automated Server System.
Matrox Adds Panasonic Varicam Support
Matrox Video Products Group announced that release 1.4 for Matrox MXO21 and Matrox MXO2 Rack2 is now available as a free download from the Matrox website to all registered users.
 
This release implements important new features including Panasonic Varicam workflow support that allows users to ingest, edit, and output at 23.98 fps via SDI, plus additional cost-saving HD closed captioning support.

Owners of the Sonarae Audio Monitoring System and EDIUS 5.1 will be able to control the Sonarae audio processing unit from their desktop.
Barrington Standardizes on Omneon Spectrum for Master Control Rebuilds
Barrington has deployed a 16-channel Spectrum system at TV 7&4 to support HD ingest and playout.
 
The six-channel SD Spectrum server at WNWO-TV has enabled the Toledo station to move to a streamlined tapeless workflow with an easy HD upgrade path.
 
At each station, the Omneon media server operates in conjunction with Sundance Digital automation and Pathfire(TM) digital media distribution and management systems.

Vizrt Solutions Streamline Graphics Production for KWCH/KSCW HD Broadcasts
Four Viz Engine real-time renderers installed in KWCH's control room power the graphics created in Vizrt Artist 2.8, Object Store, Content Pilot, Template Wizard and Template Manager 5.1.
 
The new systems are used for all the station's lower-third, full-screen, and opening graphics, as well as interstitials.

NRK, the Norwegian national television broadcaster, has selected a UTAH-400 HD routing switcher and four associated control panels to serve as the core of a standalone fly-away pack that is mainly used for broadcasting remote sporting events
