Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. best known for
its Panasonic brand products, announced that its
shareholders have approved a proposal to change the
company's name to "Panasonic Corporation."

Thomson announced that its latest high-speed, super
slow-motion (slo-mo) camera - the Thomson Grass
Valley LDK 8300 - worked flawlessly during the UEFA
EURO 2008 football group playoffs and quarter finals.
The new Thomson Grass Valley LDK 8300 super slo-
mo camera captures video at 150 HD fields per
second - three times the 50 fields per second rate of
traditional HD cameras, combined with a remarkably
high HD signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio resulting in the
high quality slo-mo replays.
