Hitachi's Bernie Munzelle Has Passed Away
Bernie Munzelle passed away on Thursday, November 26th from heart failure.
 
Bernie was with Hitachi for over 30 years and was initially hired as a regional sales manager of Hitachi's Broadcast & Professional division in the late 1970s. He moved up the ranks to National Sales Manager, where he was ultimately responsible for landing the CBS-TV Television project which led to the sale of over 300 studio cameras from the early 1980s through to the late 90s.

Viewbits Launches Compact Remote-Control PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) 1080i and p HD Indoor Camera
Viewbits, the industrial cameras division of CMI, is introducing their newest high definition PTZ (pan tilt zoom) camera for pro video users.

Verio HD is an inexpensive, 1080i and p camera that pans, tilts, and zooms on command, via a wireless remote control or an optional keyboard-joystick.
 
It is designed for broadcast studios, distance learning, videoconferencing, houses of worship, corporate training, and medical or scientific imaging.

Fujinon Introduces New PL Mount Zoom Lens
As the second lens in the Series, the 75-400mm joins a family of PL mount zoom lenses from Fujinon.
 
Four lens models comprise Fujinon's PL Series: 18-85mm T2.0 (available now); 75-400 mm T2.8-T3.9 (available now); 24-180mm T2.6 (available January 2010); and the 14.5-45mm T2.0 (available April 2010).
Enhance Technology Unveils the New EnhanceRAID TS800 Series an Innovative & Robust Desktop RAID Storage Solutions
Enhance Technology has released the EnhanceRAID TS800 Series, a desktop RAID storage system with RAID-6 and Web GUI Management.
 
The EnhanceRAID TS800 Series consist of four models, each with its own alternative connectivity interfaces: IP (iSCSI), SC (SCSI), SS (SAS), and FC (Fibre Channel).
 
The TS800 Series supports eight (8x) removable drive bays.
Solid State Logic C100 HD-S Digital Broadcast Console Installed At WHBQ-TV
Solid State Logic has completed the installation of a new C100 HD-S Digital Broadcast Console for WHBQ-TV, a station owned and operated by Fox.

The station began broadcasting its local newscasts in high definition in June of 2009. WHBQ broadcasts a total of 361/2 hours of local news a week, with 71/2 hours on weekdays, two hours on Saturdays and one hour on Sundays - more than any other television station in the State of Tennessee.
AmberFin launches new iCR Format Convertor
The iCR Format Convertor is designed to support the increasing need for broadcast file based workflows which require up-converting existing content from 576i to 720p or 1080i for HD transmission.
 
The iCR Format Convertor is also specifically relevant for companies looking to take advantage of HD web delivery, which uses primarily 720p but has recently started to require 1080p.
