Mobile Television Group Installs Apantac Tahoma Multiviewers for HD Mobile Production
Apantac announced that The Mobile Television Group has installed 29 Tahoma LE-8 HD and 3 Tahoma LE-4 HD Multiviewers onboard its truck, 25 HDX.
 
This truck is designed to produce stand-alone and "dual-feed" shows in both standard-definition and high-definition in 720p and 1080i.
Fast Forward Video Launches Micron HD Digital Video Recorder
It records using JPEG2000 compression at speeds up to 100 Mbit/sec.
 
The Micron HD offers up to five hours of record time, and its removable, non-proprietary 2.5-inch SATA drive is fully compatible with FFV's Elite HD camera-mounted DVR.
Snell Introduces CVR800 and TBS800 Standards and Format Converters
Snell has announced the launch of the CVR800 and TBS800, two new HD standards and format converters in the Kudos Plus line of signal processing products.
 
The CVR800 offers motion-adaptive frame-rate and format conversion (up, down, cross), and the TBS800 offers motion-adaptive format conversion and synchronization for 3Gb/s, HD, and SD video.
Turner installs eight NV5100MC master control switchers at training facility
Miranda announced that Turner Broadcasting Systems has upgraded its operator training facility with eight NV5100MC master control switcher systems.
 
The Atlanta facility provides off-line and on-air training for new operators, using the latest HD equipment, and it also serves as a back-up master control facility.
Wegener Expects Nasdaq Delisting Letter, Plans to Appeal
Wegener Corporation announced that on November 30, 2009, it received a notice from Nasdaq indicating that the Company's shareholders' equity as of August 28, 2009, did not meet the minimum requirement of $2,500,000 for continued listing.
 
The notice also stated that the Company had been provided with 180 calendar days, or until February 17, 2009, to regain compliance.
Magenta  Video Network Joins Ross Video's openGear Platform
Magenta Video Network develops IP-centric digital video processing solutions for professional broadcast Contribution and Distribution, Studios and IPTV markets.
TV Magic Names Benito Behar Vice President of Sales
Behar has worked with TV Magic for more than two years, most recently serving as vice president of business development for Latin America.
 
In his new role, Behar will be responsible for sales across the company and its San Diego and Los Angeles offices. Behar will be based out of the company's headquarters in San Diego.
RTW Names Jochen Wainwright as Head of International Sales
RTW, a manufacturer and distributor of professional audio metering and control devices, announces the appointment of Jochen Wainwright as the company's new international sales manager.
 
A 19-year veteran of the pro audio industry, Wainwright has served as head of audio production at Wige-Media in Cologne, and Product Manager Riedel Communications.
