NVISION Announces New Synapse Modular Multi-Viewer

NVISION® announced today its Synapse Modular Multi-Viewer, which will be shown for the first time in the US at NAB 08, Las Vegas, Nevada. The Synapse GQW200 card, a 3Gb/s, HD, SD-SDI quad-split to QWXGA converter, forms the building blocks of the modular multi-viewer. With inputs from four up to 40 channels, the Synapse Modular Multi-Viewer is an ideal, cost-effective image display for small and mid-size broadcasters, as well as video truck applications. Users can set up the image display channels they need today, and expand the number of displays over time.

Each GQW200 quad-split card provides a group of four channel displays for the Multi-Viewer. Every additional GQW200 card adds another four channels of display, with a maximum image display of 40 channels. The Multi-Viewer supports resolutions up to 1920x1200. A Tally and UMD OSD are included, which enable a very compact monitor solution. High-quality de-interlacing and scaling algorithms ensure crisp picture quality.

Also introduced today are the Synapse HQW200 (HD/SD version) and SQW200 (SD only) cards for the Multi-Viewer. Both cards are designed to be easily upgraded to handle 3Gb/s signals.

· Preset-based storage of all graphical settings: One mouse click or ACP command re-organizes the multi-view graphical settings
· The Multi-Viewer cards can be combined with a choice of over 130 Synapse infrastructure and conversion modules within the same NVISION frame.
