OpenCube Technologies will be showcasing its comprehensive, high-performance MXF P2 solution at the IBC Convention in Amsterdam, September 12-16, 2008.

The new application enables users to rapidly ingest, view, shot-log and consolidate MXF P2 files, simplifying and speeding up the process from start to finish.

Tapeless productions are on their way to becoming common currency throughout the broadcast industry, with more and more companies adopting the MXF format and, more particularly, the MXF P2 format for News Camcorders. Among other solutions, OpenCube will present:

PS2oft HD v2.0 provides a seamless gateway to Newsrooms and production facilities. The new P2Soft HD release enables users to automate and streamline the ingest process and includes numerous cutting-edge features, notably format conversion for efficient connections with production and editing tools.

P2Soft HD v2.0 is an easy-to-use and effective solution, with powerful tools for shot-logging and selecting useful media, as well as for annotating the content with metadata as soon as it is acquired.

OpenCubeSD v2.1 gateways are MXF native and, more specifically, MXF P2 OpAtomcompatible, permitting a tape back record for temporary storage and direct MXF tape archive ingest.

XFConverter v1.1 is the ideal glue for converting MXF formats into other interoperable wrapping formats, such as Quicktime and Op1a MXF, which are available in most of the solutions on the market today.
