In a move to make it easier for potential
customers to test drive its products, Panasonic has created
a demo pool arrangement within its Professional Media Partner
network.
"That's the ideal way to show our products in a quick
and uncomplicated way to our customers and any interested
parties," says Uwe Rohr, General Manager Sales, Panasonic
Professional & Broadcast IT Systems (PBITS). "As
a global company, it is very important for us to have committed
local partners. Together, we need to be close to our customers
and familiar with their needs."
The equipment provided by the demo pool partners mainly comprises
products using Panasonic's tapeless P2 HD technology, which
has been successfully adopted by more than 800 broadcasters
worldwide. In Germany, MDR, HR, ZDF, Radio Bremen, and partially
WDR, RBB, and SWR use this system. Furthermore, P2 HD products
are being used at the Beijing Olympic Games. Panasonic has
been the official technical partner of Beijing Olympic Broadcasting
(BOB) in eight Olympiads.
