Following
the success of the AV-HS300, Panasonic announces the AV-HS400,
a compact multi-format, eight-input/eight-output video switcher
for live events, cable show production, event staging, corporate
videos, distance learning, seminars, conferences, and more.
This powerful switcher will give productions more flexibility
and features than ever before available in such a compact
and cost-effective unit.
Panasonic's new HD/SD mixed-format switcher works with inputs
from most video sources as well as PCs, and it outputs to
projectors, plasma, LCD, LED dot matrix, or CRT displays.
It is useful in any environment in which content needs immediate
viewing live on multiple platforms or via transmission. The
AV-HS400 switcher makes this possible with mixed SD and HD
content at the same time.
The AV-HS400 has a built-in, 10-bit, eight-channel frame synchronizer
that eliminates the need to genlock when switching between
cameras or asynchronous sources, and it produces a single
stream of continuous content for any video production application.
The new Panasonic switcher includes four video inputs and
outputs as standard, with an option for up to eight inputs
and outputs. These interfaces are assignable as PGM, PVW,
AUX, multi-screen, and keyout.
Supporting all major HD/SD formats as well as most digital
and analog interfaces, the AV-HS400 incorporates its own upconverter,
supported by optional input boards, to enable the mix of both
SD and HD content.
More features include an intuitive switch layout, quick preset
functions visible on LCD or OSD (on-screen display), tally
output, and RS-422 control that is GVG-protocol compatible.
Key features of the new Panasonic AV-HS400 video switcher
include
multi-screen preview of program/preview/inputs for
monitoring by a single monitor;
three types of multi-screen (four, eight, and 10 split-image)
with a selectable image for each split window;
DVI inputs up to SXGA and outputs up to WUXGA (1920
x 1200);
12 types of wipe pattern, 10 types of squeeze, eight
types of slide effects, and 12 types of 3-D (DVE);
linear key, luminance key, chroma key, and downstream
key;
picture in picture;
SD card image insertion into video content.
The AV-HS400 will be available in December 2007.
