Scopus Video Networks at IBC2007

At IBC2007, Scopus will showcase its fully integrated IP video networking headend addressing broadcast, satellite, cable, and telco infrastructures. The company will show its commercially available HD H.264 encoder, UE-9810, as well as its distribution solutions.

Scopus' IP headend solution provides full IP connectivity between digital headend components enabling flexible program routing and fast redundancy and eliminating the need for expensive matrices. Scopus' solutions address the needs of cable, satellite, terrestrial, and IPTV operators, allow them to benefit from emerging converged delivery infrastructures, simplify their operations, and enhance their offerings. 

Scopus will demonstrate its diverse distribution solutions for broadcasters and terrestrial, cable, and telco operators. These solutions enable users to choose a preferred transmission infrastructure whether IP, satellite, or both. This demo will also emphasize Scopus' best-of-breed products for each distribution media. 

UE-9810 — Scopus' new H.264 HD-encoding platform is now commercially available. The UE-9810 enables broadcasters and operators to offer premium high definition content. Featuring ASI and IP outputs for channel redundancy and network support, it offers operators integrated, advanced multiplexing capabilities for flexible and easy creation of various services. The platform provides superb picture quality at low bit rates to better utilize bandwidth. Suitable for contribution and distribution applications, cable TV headends, terrestrial broadcast, IPTV, and DBS applications, it will also be available in a DSNG version housing DVB-S/S2 modulation schemes.
