DABSTOR-Rx Off-air
Logger and Monitor Demonstrated at IBC 2008

In a major advance in professional DAB/DAB+/DMB monitoring
receivers, SomerData is demonstrating off-air Ensemble Logging
and Ensemble Monitoring at IBC 2008 (Stand Number 8.C97).
Designed for broadcasters and network operators, the DABSTOR-Rx
Monitoring Receiver provides evidence of transmission, with
live monitoring, logging and off-line analysis of a complete
DAB/DAB+/DMB Ensemble. SomerData's Engineers have achieved
this innovation by regenerating the ensemble transport stream
(not normally available in DAB/DAB+/DMB receivers) to provide
compatibility with SomerData's existing head-end Logger and
Monitor applications. The Ensemble Logger application provides
continuous capture using sequential-file endless-loop recording,
which is a technique originally developed by SomerData for
a data communications logger product in 1998.
In addition to the new Ensemble Logger and Ensemble Monitor
options, users are able to simultaneously view multiple Audio,
Video and Data services from a single receiver. DABSTOR-Rx
eliminates the need to use several receivers per DAB/DAB+/DMB
Ensemble, thereby freeing-up valuable space and resources.
Combined with unique remote monitoring capabilities
enabling viewing stations at one or more locations across
a multicast network DABSTOR-Rx sets a new benchmark
in professional service monitoring products for broadcasters
and network service providers.
