Thomson has announced that Roscor Corporation, a leading provider of professional video, audio, multimedia, and computer based products and services for more than 30 years, is the first US dealer to join the Thomson Grass Valley Xensium Dealer Program.

Dealers who are part of the XENSIUM Program are able to demonstrate a complete Infinity Series workflow that includes the Infinity Digital Media Camcorder (DMC), REV PRO disks and drives, and the EDIUS nonlinear editing system. As a member of the Xensium Dealer Program, Roscor staff received advanced technical and product training from Thomson Grass Valley.

Roscor is one of many certified broadcast equipment dealers and system integrators located across North America who have received an unparalleled level of training and support from Thomson focused on their experienced resale channel to allow the Roscor to address the growing demand for Infinity.

"The Infinity camcorder is like no other camcorder in the world," said Paul Roston, President of Roscor Corporation. "It is so feature-rich and powerful, that in order to properly demo the camera and its workflow benefits to our customers, we felt that joining the Xensium Dealer Program was an easy decision. The Infinity brings choice, performance, and production flexibility that no other camcorder in its price range can match. You've really got to see it to believe it."

Roscor is located in Mount Prospect, Illinois. They operate full service regional offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Farmington Hills, Michigan; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Jakarta, Indonesia. In addition, they operate satellite sales offices in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Cleveland, Ohio. Their markets include broadcast, transmission, mobile production, video production, video post production, audio production, audio post production, education, corporate, medical, presentation systems, distance education, and computer based multimedia applications.

"Roscor is the preeminent professional video dealer serving the Midwestern United States and we are thrilled to kick off the Thomson Grass Valley Xensium Dealer Program with them," said Jeff Rosica, Senior Vice President of Thomson's Broadcast & Professional Solutions for the Systems division. "Roscor has always provided their customers with the resources necessary to make an informed decision regarding their purchases, and those customers can be assured that when it comes to the Infinity Series that Roscor's knowledge is second to none."

Representing the perfect complement to all types of file-based workflows, the Infinity DMC uses three full 1920x1080 resolution, 2/3-inch Xensium CMOS imagers and Thomson Grass Valley REV PRO removable media as well as industry standard CompactFlash – in a variety of capacities and features. Infinity outperforms other ENG/EFP models and produces images rivaling broadcast and production camcorders costing much more.

The Infinity DMC is switchable between HD and SD with format choices including 1080i, 720p, PAL, and NTSC. This makes the Infinity DMC a cost-effective acquisition solution for a large number of applications worldwide that includes news, sports, drama (episodics), documentaries, promotional, corporate, government, educational institutions, events & staging, and houses of worship.
