At IBC2010,
Universal Electronics will demonstrate a wide selection of
wireless control devices, which are deployed world-wide by
consumer electronics manufacturers and subscription broadcast
operators.
Dolphin Point and Click Technology Featuring Freespace
Universal Electronics' Dolphin advanced interface control
enables futuristic, 3-D navigation by incorporating the Freespace®
motion-detection technology developed by Hillcrest Labs. The
ergonomic Dolphin controller adds a new dimension to traditional
up-down-left-right TV controls, translating all hand movements
into on-screen cursor movements.

Dolphin enables operators to provide their subscribers the
freedom they'll need to easily navigate the multiple screens
and functions of IP-based applications by manipulating the
on-screen cursor with routine hand and wrist movements. This
nearly effortless, intuitive control device also includes
intelligence that will enable future versions to recognize
user patterns for further personalization and interactivity.
Dolphin will be introduced as part of a
3-D presentation on the UEI stand.
NDS Snowflake Advanced Interface Control
NDS Snowflake is a next-generation user experience platform
that provides a unified solution for operators looking to
extend their brands and enable access to all types of content
including broadcast, on-demand, and over-the-top Internet
applications.
Universal Electronics' Snowflake device
integrates into the NDS platform to enable simple and exciting
3-D navigation to perform advanced functions on multiple applications
beyond program selection.
