Product Highlights at GVExpo 2007

UTAH-400 iP Router

At GVExpo 2007 Utah Scientific will showcase a revolutionary new 24-port IP router, giving broadcasters real-time, on-the-fly control of port priority, security groups, and port speed on Ethernet networks. The first product of its kind, the UTAH-400 iP managed gigabit Ethernet workgroup router will dramatically increase workflow efficiency in broadcasting or any situation in which large video files or high-bit-rate streaming video are transferred over an Ethernet network. Based on customer responses, the UTAH-400 iP router is the bridge that allows IT and traditional broadcast technology to be integrated seamlessly.

New for the UTAH-400 Router Family

Utah Scientific will highlight new enhancements to the UTAH-400 router family. The new UTAH-400 TDM is based on a time-division multiplexing (TDM) architecture and designed to be particularly useful in large audio installations.

The UTAH-400/32 digital routing switcher, which offers matrix sizes from 8x8 to 32x32, is housed in a compact 2-RU frame that includes dual power supplies and dual crosspoint/controller cards. Even in the smaller frame, the full range of I/O options is available, including analog I/O cards for system flexibility. Because of the UTAH-400/32's eight-port I/O cards, smaller matrices can be expanded cost-effectively.

Also at GVExpo, Utah Scientific will showcase the new UTAH-400/288R frame for large routers up to 288x288 with fully automatic internal crosspoint redundancy and a new set of multirate I/O modules that process data rates ranging from 1 Mb/s to 3 Gb/s so that facilities can route all digital video signals, including the 1080p format.
New Control Panels

Utah Scientific also will be introducing two new control panels: the UCP-1, a full-featured X-Y panel in a compact 1-RU package; and the UCP-DT, a desktop version of the innovative UCP-MM multimode panel introduced last year.

These new panels join the UCP panel series, the industry's most complete and flexible range of router control panels for every application.
