Broadcast system manufacturer Vector 3 will be showing for their VECTORBOX 8000HD playout system at this year’s IBC with new features designed for channels who need to mix standard and high definition video as well as file formats in their playout environment.

The new 8000HD video server features include support for all video, compression and metadata file formats for easy integration into any file-based workflow. Automatic upscaling & downscaling allows the user to playout a channel in either HDSDI or SDI from a mixed HD/SD schedule and also simulcast one channel of each using the same playlist and replacing the need for two separate video servers.
Other VECTORBOX 8000HD features include a built-in automation for managing playout of content from all sources and built-in CG for branding the channel with bugs, animations and real-time tickers linked to RSS feeds and other remote databases.
