Motorola and Verimatrix Enter Worldwide
Reseller Agreement
Verimatrix, setting the standard in content security technologies
that enhance the value of pay-TV networks, and Motorola today
announced that they have entered into a comprehensive reseller
agreement whereby the market-leading Verimatrix Video Content
Authority System (VCAS) for IPTV has been integrated
with Motorola's end-to-end IPTV solution.
"Our customers benefit from our agreement with Motorola
as it provides them with a turnkey solution for a faster and
more secure deployment environment already approved
by major studios and broadcasters," said Steve Oetegenn,
chief sales and marketing officer, Verimatrix. "Customers
who require a flexible and proven solution to deliver IPTV
services ahead of the competition are able to quickly and
reliably deploy a solution to meet their needs."
Motorola's advanced VIP series IP set-top boxes fully support
the VCAS for IPTV solution and are deployed in IPTV systems
around the globe. Motorola and Verimatrix are working together
to integrate and certify new VIP set-top models.
VCAS for IPTV is a secure downloadable solution for IPTV clients
and has the flexibility to be updated or renewed as required
to combat attempted pirate attacks. The VCAS security architecture
has received very favorable results in independent audits
and is the approved security choice in pay-TV operator deployments
on a worldwide basis.
