Vizrt and Storm Weather Center Announce Deal with Channel 7 Thailand

Contract with Thai Channel 7 worth approximately USD 3.5 million

Vizrt announced a deal with Channel 7 from Thailand, worth THB 115 million [Thai Baht] (approximately USD 3.5 million).

The sale provides the Thai public television channel with a full Vizrt workflow, ranging from broadcast graphics creation to network infrastructure. It marks the first combined sale between Vizrt Asia and its strategic partner, Storm Weather Center AS.

Based in Bergen, Norway, Storm Weather Center is the leading commercial weather service provider in Scandanavia. One of the deal’s components is Viz Weather, a 3D real-time weather solution, with a data feed from the Storm Weather Center service

Bjarne Berg, CEO for Vizrt, stated, “We are obiously pleased with this deal, but beyond the financial aspects, it shows the stength of our network of strategic partners and our strong presence in various growth markets, such as Thailand in this case. Our offer goes bezond just the graphics products, it is very much a workflow and application driven approach that helps us secure deals like this.”

The sale was completed at the end of Q4.
