Xytech Systems Corporation, a leading provider
of software solutions that improve, automate, and streamline
the mission critical business aspects of media operations
including business workflow, resource scheduling, media library
management, and digital workflow automation, announced that
Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) is utilizing Xytech's software
to manage its workflow and operations.
Founded in 1973, TBN is the world's largest religious network
and America's most watched faith channel, and is the 7th largest
broadcast owner in the United States. TBN is featured on over
5,000 television stations, 47 satellites, the Internet and
thousands of cable systems around the world. TBN produces
more original Christian programs than any other religious
network, and is a recognized leader in the production of major
Christian movies. Programs are translated into numerous foreign
languages at TBN's state-of-the-art facilities, and TBN is
on the cutting edge of technology with its Virtual Reality
Theaters in multiple states.
TBN needed a comprehensive library system for managing its
30 years of media assets and metadata, including original
content and programming, acquired materials, video clip agreements,
long forms of air versions that are incorporated into shorter
forms, host sheets, factoids, format sheets, and content from
different shows. The Xytech software is an integral part of
TBN's ability to manage its content, and seamlessly integrates
with work order and jobs, scheduling, archiving programming,
and creating and maintaining seasonal and theatrical specials.
The company also wanted an easy-to-use application that can
be easily integrated with other applications while automating
as many manual functions as possible. In addition, TBN needed
a flexible platform to satisfy future business needs. The
solution needed to schedule personnel, equipment, rooms, and
resources easily and efficiently, and be able to aggregate
and amortize costs associated with individual programming
and creative services productions.
The Xytech software best meets TBN's requirements, both from
a functionality perspective and application breadth. Furthermore,
the Xytech software can be easily configured and customized
to TBN's specific workflow operations via its cross module
functions. This allows TBN to now provide real-time data to
all their assistant directors.
In addition, TBN is aggressively developing its emerging media
platforms for broadband and is working with Xytech to integrate
into its other systems, so the metadata can be sent to Google,
YouTube, and iTunes for its podcast "Behind the Scenes"
daily show.
Randall Clark, system administrator for Resource Management,
states, "We chose Xytech for a variety of reasons: its
strong meta-data handling capabilities, the intuitive interface,
flexibility, full functionality, and proven track record in
the entertainment industry. We wanted a system that would
grow as we grew, and which would allow us to manage our assets
in the most beneficial manner. The Xytech sales and support
teams we've dealt with have been exceedingly professional,
attentive, patient and responsive. Customer support, indeed
customer-vendor partnership, is very important to us and our
success."
Ron Peeters, Executive Vice President of Xytech Systems Corporation,
adds, "We are pleased that Trinity Broadcasting Network,
as the largest religious broadcaster in the world and the
7th largest broadcaster in the United States, selected the
Xytech software to automate and manage their media assets.
Having the capability to better manage all media in preparation
for playout and repurposing allows them to fully leverage
their entire asset library. Xytech also helps TBN prepare
and stage content for digital distribution to an array of
channels ranging from IPTV to global network delivery".
